NEW : act on Gefitinib (EGFR)
Lung cancer patients having mutations in EGFR will benefit from Gefitinib.
Sample needed : Tumor positive FFPE block with HE stained slide shipped in room temperature
Method : PCR + Sequencing
Turn Around Time : 10 days
NEW : act on JAK2
JAK2 V617F point mutation leads to constitutive activation of tyrosine kinase. The incidence of V617F mutation in different studies ranges from 65-97% in polycythemia vera, 41-57% in patients with essential thrombocythemia, and 23-95% in patients with idiopathic myelofibrosis.
Sample Needed : 5 ml blood in EDTA
Method : PCR
Turn Around Time : 7 days act on Cetuximab (Kras) Colo Rectal cancer patients having the wild type KRAS gene will benefit from Cetuximab therapy. Sample needed : Tumor positive FFPE block with HE stained slide shipped in room temperature Method : PCR + Sequencing
Turn Around Time : 8 days
act on Platinum (GSTP1, XPD, XRCC1) Patients with wild type GSTP1 suffer from severe neuropathy, while patients with heterozygous mutants or homozygous mutant show less neuropathy and have a better response, and longer survival from Oxaliplatin. Mutations in XRCC1 and XPD gene are associated with decreased overall survival in patients taking cisplatin. Sample Needed : 5 ml blood in EDTA
Method : PCR
Turn Around Time : 7 days
act on Capecitabine (DPD, TS, MTHFR)
Approximately 40% patients show good response and lots of toxicity from Capecitabine, while 56% patients show low response and low toxicity and the remaining 4% gets life threatening toxicity. This difference can be attributed to DPD, TS and MTHFR genes. Sample Needed : 5 ml blood in EDTA
Method : PCR
Turn Around Time : 7 days act on Irinotecan (UGT1A1) Homozygous mutants in UGT1A1 gene are at a high risk of diarrhea and neutopenia with Irinotecan, while patients with wild type or heterozygous mutants are at a low risk. Sample Needed : 5 ml blood in EDTA
Method : PCR
Turn Around Time : 7 days
act on Tamoxifen (CYP2D6) Patients with mutations in CYP2D6 are poor metabolizers and are at a higher risk of relapse as compared to wild type patients. These mutants should use aromatase inihibitor in place of Tamoxifen Sample Needed : 5 ml blood in EDTA
Method : PCR
Turn Around Time : 7 days act on 6 Mercaptopurine (TPMT) Patients having mutations in this gene cannot tolerate standard dosage of 6-MP. Population studies show that, 10% patients are heterozygous mutants and 0.3% are homozygous mutants and they should get 50% dose and 5% dose respectively. Patients with mutations in TPMT gene show toxicity from Mercaptopurine. Sample Needed : 5 ml blood in EDTA
Method : PCR
Turn Around Time : 7 days act on Methotrexate (MTHFR, RFC1) Mutations in MTHFR gene is directly related to toxicity from Methotrexate. Dose reduction is warranted in homozygous mutants and lower starting dose is recommended for heterozygous patients. Patients with mutation in RFC1 show toxicity from Methotrexate. Sample Needed : 5 ml blood in EDTA
Method : PCR
Turn Around Time : 7 days CYP2C9 is enzyme responsible for Warfarin metabolism and VKORC1 is the drug target. Patients having mutations in VKORC1 and CYP2C9 will have increased or decreased Warfarin dose requirements.
Sample Needed : 5 ml blood in EDTA
Method : PCR
Turn Around Time : 7 days |
